I’ve just uploaded the new Slackline sets from Mountain Equipment to our shop right here. They have been super popular for ME and so they’ve updated them again this year. There are three sets, the Pro, Passion and Chill. We are getting the Chill in shortly when the new stock arrives at ME.
Both the Pro and Passion sets have a 25mm wide slackline with 3m padded anchor slings and heavy duty ratchets for racking them up. The Passion is 18 metres long and the Pro is 25m. Enjoy!
I wish you wouldn't pimp these. Everyone I know that slacklines says that kits are a waste of money when you could just buy some webbing, biners, and rappel rings and get much more for your money.
ReplyDeleteOld school! It's only a waste of money if you're the sort of chap who is up for finding out how to make stuff. Some folk would rather skip it and just buy one if they don't know anything about it. God forbid some folk actually like their kit to look a bit flashy as well.
ReplyDeleteThat totally reminds me of when I started climbing in 1993 and climbing walls were starting. Indoor climbing was quite young and old school then too and frowned on anything that cost extra cash or looked too flashy. 'why make expensive resin hods when you can make your own out of wood' Well, yeah - I got some wood holds on my board made by a professional carpenter and shortly afterwards chucked out most of the ones I'd made myself. Sure they did the job - I could pull on them, but they were rubbish by comparison.
ReplyDeleteCouldn't agree mor Dave. I remebr when I started winter climbing the hardcore headtorch to have was a crdnoard covered 'bell' battery, with a length of wire and a non- waterproof bulb holder. On really wet/ sleety days the battery would fall apart inside your jacket! Thank god for 'flashy' Petzl coming along.
ReplyDeletei know this is an older post dave, but i'm looking at getting one of these for my partner for his birthday. have you tried one or know someone who has? Are they good or would you recommend another line? Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteThey are awesome Miss Zoll! Much recommended. We just sold out of our stock last week but you'll find them online.
